27 May 2025 – Dauntless Law Chambers (“DLC”) is excited to share that we have signed the Singapore Academy of Law’s Training Pledge. By signing the pledge, law firms and in-house legal teams commit to investing in the professional development of their lawyers.
DLC has pledged to:
- Dedicate resources: Allocate an annual training budget for every legal professional in our organisation, underscoring our belief in the value of continuing development.
- Protect time for growth: Actively adjust workloads to ensure our legal professionals have the bandwidth to pursue development without compromise.
- Provide targeted training opportunities: Implement strategic training initiatives aligned with internal or national competency frameworks, that empower our team to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
- Champion expertise: Encourage and support legal professionals in achieving specialisation and honing leadership and management skills.
Managing Director Suresh Divyanathan says:
“It was easy for us to commit to the SAL Training Pledge because we believe that the practice of law is a People Business – we are only as good as the people we have. All of our cases are of such complexity that it takes a team effort to deliver the best results possible for our clients. We will take the time to teach our juniors because we believe that when you care about your people, they will help you achieve the things you care about.”
As part of this commitment, DLC will be sending 2 of our Senior Associates, Ms. Sarah Khan & Ms. Nicole Ng to attend the Junior Lawyers Professional Certification Programme (“JLP”), which equips them with essential technical, ethical, and leadership skills.
Sarah Khan:
As mentioned at the JLP Opening Conference, a lifelong journey of continuous learning lies before young lawyers. I look forward to learning applicable skills and insights through JLP’s training workshops.
Nicole Ng:
I am grateful to be part of a team that is invested in my professional development. Attending the JLP will allow me to enhance my legal skills and strengthen my ability to contribute to DLC, so that we are better able to serve our clients.
