4 April 2025 – Dauntless Law Chambers LLC is pleased to announce that Managing Director Suresh Divyanathan has been listed in the 2025 edition of Singapore’s Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal. Suresh has been listed in every edition of Singapore’s Top 100 Lawyers since 2018 and we are pleased that he has continued this “winning streak” in 2025.
One of Suresh’s notable cases in this past year was winning USD 2.4 million in damages for Georg Alexander Höptner in his claim for wrongful dismissal against his former employer, Three Fins Pte Ltd, a company within the HDR Group which is known for its cryptocurrency exchange, BitMEX. Höptner was the Chief Executive Officer of the HDR Group.
The amount awarded by the Singapore High Court is a record payout for wrongful dismissal cases in Singapore. After adding interest, costs, and setting off a small counterclaim, the nett payout to Höptner exceeded USD2.6 million. Höptner said “I am immensely grateful to Suresh and his team. Suresh’s clear and incisive cross-examination brought out all the key points and presented a powerful case in my favour. I cannot recommend Suresh enough.”
